Marty Lundstrom

Assistant General Counsel at Spark Energy

Marty Lundstrom is a native Houstonian and currently serves as Assistant General Counsel at Spark Energy, Inc.

She attended the University of St. Thomas where she received her B.A., magna cum laude, in International Studies. She then attended the University of Texas School of Law and received her J.D. in 2002. In 2014, she received her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.

For her first eight years after law school, Marty practiced in the Houston office of Haynes and Boone in the business litigation and environmental sections. She then moved in-house where she has worked in the energy and retail industries for the last 7 years. Her scope of work has been broad in these in-house counsel positions managing compliance, litigation, contracts, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, and employment matters.

When not practicing law, Marty has been actively involved as a producer and choreographer for Night Court, a 501(c)(3) that raises money for legal charities in Houston. She also maintains a blog www.polished-professionals.com where she seeks to help the modern, professional woman manage the workaday world with style and poise.

Marty has been recognized for her work in the legal profession and in the community. She has several times been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and was honored to receive Houston’s 40 Under 40 Award by the Houston Business Journal.
