Katie Harrison

Katie Harrison is a partner with Mullin Hoard and Brown who focuses her practice in the areas of insurance defense, non-subscriber employer defense and commercial law. She devotes a large portion of her practice to assisting employers in connection with claims made by injured employees in litigation, arbitration, as well as in pre-litigation strategy. Katie is well-versed in non-subscriber claims, employee compensation and federal preemption, as related to employee claims covered by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”). She has also authored employee injury benefit plans and written revisions and updates to those plans for large corporations in North Texas.
Katie has also handled litigation related to non-compete agreements and breach of fiduciary duty. She has successfully represented both individual and commercial clients at both state and district court levels. She has also represented several large corporations in the both the Metroplex area and throughout the state. Katie’s educational background also serves her well in assisting her partners in the firm with banking litigation, foreclosure and collection actions for the firm’s banking clients.
Katie graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor of business administration in economics and international business and worked as a litigation consultant for some time prior to attending law school.
She graduated from the University of Montana School of Law where she served as an officer of Phi Delta Phi, an honors legal fraternity on campus. Katie has also served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Kerr County. Katie is licensed to practice before state courts in Texas as well as the Federal District Court for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. Katie was recently named a 2018 Texas Rising Star.
