Monica Narvaez

Monica Narvaez is Of Counsel with Cowles & Thompson. She focuses her practice on advising businesses across various industries on all types of labor and employment matters. She combines her legal experience with her certified human resources and mediator skills to help businesses navigate the most complex employment situations in the hopes of avoiding litigation. However, she has also successfully represented clients in employment and labor-related disputes before the TWC, EEOC, DOL, state and federal courts, and other state and federal regulatory bodies.

Before joining private practice, Monica served as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General in the Employment Law Sections where she successfully defended various State and County agencies as well as universities in employment discrimination claims, and prosecuted unfair labor practices on behalf of the State Employment Relations Board while working in the Labor Section. She also served as a Human Resources Policy Attorney for the State of Ohio where she drafted laws, rules and policies pertaining to the personnel processes and functions for close to 100,000 civil servants.

Monica hails from Ohio, and eared both her B.S.B.A. and J.D. at The Ohio State University. She also holds an L.L.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Edinburgh, School of Law, Edinburgh United Kingdom, and an M.B.A. from Schiller International University in Paris France and London England.
